In South America's heart, Chile is a vital player in the global lithium market, boasting one of the world's largest lithium reserves. Lithium, a critical component in batteries for electric vehicles and renewable energy storage, has become a linchpin in transitioning to a sustainable and low-carbon future. The Global Gateway Initiative is set to take place to harness the potential of Chile's lithium resources. This event brings together Members of the European Parliament (MEPs), European and Chilean lithium sector representatives, and distinguished scholars specializing in lithium. It promises to be a pivotal moment in charting the course towards sustainable lithium production and consumption.
